Local producer Sourface has launched his own label, Flip Recipe, and they’ve just released their first compliation of beats, entitled Key Ingredient vol. 1. It features instrumentals by the likes of DJ Proof, Beatowski, Riddle, Constrobuz and the label head himself, and the levels are very high the whole way through. If you’re a fan of classic, golden era beats by the likes of DJ Premier, Dilla, Pete Rock or 9th Wonder, then definitely check it out.
You can listen to or buy the compilation on their bandcamp here.
Our brand new mix is here, featuring just under an hour of sweet R&B jams. It’s the third in our Thongs Of Praise series (you can find the first two in the “Mixes” tab on the right), and features the likes of R Kelly, Justin Timberlake, TLC, The Weeknd, Aaliyah, Michael Jackson & many more.
As always, if you enjoy the mix, please comment and share, thanks a lot. Please also remember any babies made whilst listening to this mix also become our legal property once born.

Here are some snaps from the madness that was our sold out NYE party at South, big ups to everyone who came down and bathed in the showers of confetti and champagne. All photos are by Dom “Perignon” Varden as usual, and the rest are up on our Facebook page.
This New Year’s Eve we’re partying at South on South King Street, going in with our usual mix of rap, rum, R&B, rewinds, R Kelly and regrets the next morning. The early bird tickets were £5 but they’ve all been snapped up already, normal tickets are a tenner and can be bought here. The MEN has recommended it as one of their top 10 NYE nights in the city, so you’re best to grab a ticket sooner rather than later. Here’s a small taster of what to expect on the night, anything from James Brown to Justin Timberlake:
